They moved for the view and fell in love with the lifestyle

Mathew and Rachel Stone (and Chester too!)

Chester the Pomeranian enjoying a walk around his new neighbourhood

First time sweethearts Mathew and Rachel Stone have just finished building their first new home together at Aspect.

Within 12 months of settling on their 464sqm block, they were moving into their four-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

Rachel said she and Mathew found that Aspect suited their lifestyle a lot better than other developments they looked at.

“The paths and parks are great for walking the dog (Chester the Pomeranian) and the views of the water are amazing,” Rachel said.

“We preferred the feel of Aspect. It’s got a premium, professional feel.”

She and Mat grew up in the northern corridor and like that where they’re living now is part of the northern green wedge but still only a 20-minute drive to Melbourne’s CBD. They’re big F1 motorsport fans and haven’t missed a Grand Prix at Albert Park for more than 10 years.

“We lead pretty active lives, we like to ride our bikes. The park is very close, for walking Chester or just chilling out with the view.”

Rachel said they were still getting to know the neighbours, who seem really friendly. “It makes it a lot nicer to live here when you get on with the people around you,” she explained.

“We like Aspect so much we’ve been recommending it to family and friends.”

The couple is now working towards landscaping and setting up their home with the help of a $2000 Freedom Furniture voucher Mat won at the Aspect Display Village Spring Open House event in October.

“That win was a great surprise for us. We’ve already spent the money on furniture for the house – a book case, a buffet, some wall art and a few accessories,” Rachel said.
